Jill is an experienced lawyer and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2007. She has practiced in the areas of Health Law and Family Law throughout her career.  Jill is also a legal educator, most recently in a senior role delivering the Bar Admission program and exam required across multiple Canadian Law Societies for entry into the profession.

Jill’s practice with Jones Divorce & Family Law is varied. She has expertise in all areas of family law including property division, support issues, and parenting matters. Jill also has valuable experience with family issues that intersect with Elder Law, specifically End of Life Decisions and Personal Directives. Jill’s practice focuses on supporting parties to resolve their family law matters as a Mediator, Parenting Coordinator, and Divorce Coach where she supports individuals effectively self-represent. Jill also supports the Jones Divorce and Family Law team through her extensive background in legal research and writing to ensure all clients have the most current, cost effective, and leading-edge client services.

Jill’s passion is to work with families to find resolution and a way to move forward. Jill makes every effort to ensure redefined relationships remain intact and future focused.

Outside of her work with Jones Divorce & Family Law, Jill is on the Board of Directors of the Centre for Public Legal Education of Alberta where she continues to pursue legal education and encourage informed decision making. Jill is also a mentor to junior lawyers and students through the Law Society of Alberta.

When she is not working, Jill is devoted to her three busy kids, driving around the City of Calgary and beyond to hockey and soccer events.
