Jessica attended law school at the University of Kent in the historic town of Canterbury in the United Kingdom. She graduated from Kent in 2022 with a first class honours LL.B.  Prior to beginning her legal career, Jessica obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in business economics and law from the University of Alberta in 2008. Following her undergrad, she attended Le Cordon Bleu in Ottawa to study classic French pastry. Jessica worked as a pastry chef for 10 years, specializing in contemporary Asian desserts. She worked at many well known Calgary restaurants including Anju, Two Penny and Gorilla Whale. Ten years proved to be enough in the whirlwind restaurant industry and Jessica was finally convinced to follow in her family’s footsteps and study law.

Jessica was drawn to family law because people are at the core of the practice. Family law is an opportunity to help people during one of the most difficult moments of their lives. She understands just how draining and challenging separation and divorce can be and looks forward to guiding clients through the legal process and on to their fresh start.

While attending the University of Kent, Jessica was Vice President of the Canadian Law Society. She spent six years on the planning committee for the Lady Ball Gala in support of Ovarian Cancer Canada. Outside of the office Jessica enjoys the ongoing pursuit of fitness, attending Calgary Opera productions and rediscovering her love for cooking by experimenting with new recipes on her little family.
