What is collaborative law?
Collaborative law is a method to resolve a dispute that involves each party retaining a divorce lawyer that is specially trained and certified as a collaborative law lawyer. The parties sign an agreement committing to work openly, honestly and cooperatively to resolve their issues. The agreement requires that the parties not go to court or threaten to do so. Collaborative matters progress through informal conferences during which information is shared freely and issues are mediated or negotiated constructively.
Lindsay Ewens-Jones is a member of the Collaborative Divorce Law Association and is a specially trained, highly-experienced collaborative law lawyer that can assist you.
